Portumna and District Credit Union Limited will again host the local level of the National Poster Competition which is run through the Schools.

Information packs will shortly be sent to all schools in our Common Bond area.

The credit union is now offering Special Share Accounts - with these accounts DIRT is deducted at source so there is no further obligation to declare your Dividend/Interest to the Revenue Commissioners.

With Regular Share Accounts the obligation rests wit the member to declare Dividend/Interest earned.

If you wish to change your account to the Special Share Account please complete the authorisation in the Annual Report and return it to our office. Copies of the authorisation Form will also be available in the Office

Poster Competition Winner 2007

Congratulations to Eoin McEvoy (Raheen NS) whose entry was awarded 2nd Place in the 8 to 10 year old Group at the Chapter Level of the Competition. His entry now goes forward to the National Judging Level to be held in 2008

Results of the Poster Competition 2007 are as follows:

7 years and under

1st  Clodagh McIntyre (Lorrha NS), 2nd Brogan Lily Downes (Abbey NS) and 3rd Caitlin Murphy (Abbey NS)

8 to 10 years

1st  Eoin McEvoy (Raheen NS), 2nd Michael O’Meara (Raheen NS) and 3rd Niallo McIntyre (Lorrja NS)

11 to 13 years

1st Emma Hanly (Portumna Community School), 2nd Eimear McEvoy (Raheen NS) and 3rd Lorraine Donnellan (Portumna Community School)

The Killimor Branch of our Credit Union is now open each Saturday from 11 am to 2 pm

The opening hours have been changed to Saturday in order to better facilitate our Killimor members.
